What an incredible day we had at Chris and Ria’s wedding at The Carbis Bay Hotel!
Ria loves the ocean so the wedding was always going to be within reach of the sea for a paddle on her big day.
The Carbis Bay Beach Club was the perfect match for them both. Seaviews over to Godrevy and more importantly, within a few steps to the white sandy beach.
Chris and Ria booked my assistant photographer, Barrie.
Whilst I was photographing morning preparations with the Girls, Barrie was up at the St.Ives Shepard Huts with the Groomsmen.
I left Barrie to the smells of frying sausages, fields and camp life and made my way down to the Carbis Bay Hotel to see Ria and her bridesmaids.
The hotel surprised Ria with a beachfront cottage which was so lovely inside. Wickers chairs and whitewashed painted furniture worked nicely for backdrops of the flowers and jewellery.
The kitchen was overflowing with buckets of beautifully scented flowers where Ria had been making the bouquets.
Ria embraced a purple colour scheme for the bridesmaids dresses and the groomsmen’s ties, and a host of other colours from the wild flowers.
The ceremony was held in the Beach Club followed by drinks and canapés on the decking.
Carbis Bay beach often looks like the Caribbean when the sun is shining! Twinkling sapphire blue waters and white golden sand set the backdrop for their wedding photos. The grassy headland and rocks on the far side of the beach are also a must for any wedding photographer.
The reception room was decorated with pink orchids and handmade wooden penguins for the table names.
After the first dance we popped out for a few photos as the sun was dipping down over the headland.
