Ruth and John are both from Scotland and holiday every year in Cornwall.
They were looking for a wedding venue by the sea without all the frills of a hotel. They stumbled across Porth En Alls House at Prussia Cove and fell for it’s authentic charm.
We met down at the cove for a walk around and to decide which areas would be best to use on the day for their photos. I know this venue really well as I got married there myself! I’ve also been lucky enough to revisited many times to photograph other couples weddings.
John and Ruths Scottish humour had me in stitches and I couldn’t wait for their wedding day to come around.
Ruth and John got ready in different parts of the house. The house itself is a maze of corridors and rooms – you never really know where you are. The house was filled with excitement, guests sharing ironing boards, passing the hairdryer around, looking for this and that, it was lovely weaving in between it all and snapping away.
The ceremony was held in the walled garden by the sea, followed by the reception and party in the main house.
There’s so many beautiful locations for wedding photos at Porth En Alls, and it always steals a little bit more of my heart every time I visit.
