These Workshops are suitable for beginners as well as people with some digital camera experience who wish to improve on their photographic skills.
During the day you will learn about depth of field and how to achieve it in your images, Lighting Teqniques, using your camera in Manual Mode and the Composition of your Photos.
When you learn how to take more control of the technical decisions, rather than letting the camera decide, your images improve significantly and your photography will become a great deal more creative and satisfying. The intention is that by the end of the workshop you will be confident in using your camera fully manually.
We will visit some of the best spots in the area and any preferred locations of your choice. After lunch we will go through your favourite images and you will learn how to enhance and edit them using Photoshop.
The workshop is based in the quaint fishing town of St.Ives in Cornwall. This Cornish gem is renowned for it’s unusual quality of light. It has a Mediterranean feel about it, with it’s maze of narrow streets and alley ways, golden sands all set by the uniquely granite landscape of West Cornwall.
This workshop has been set up for a very small exclusive number of three photographers, to ensure that the group has more time with me. I like to keep it relaxed and informal with a hands on and practical learning approach.
Start/Finish – The workshop starts at 10am and finishes at 17.00pm in the winter months. In the summer months we break at 17.00pm and meet back at the guesthouse an hour before sunset to head down to the beach to set up for the sunset shoot.
